Estimation fails: the grid spacing should be greater than 0

    Hey @Rich Howard,

I received a very strange error today from Assisi (v.2022.4.4):

Failed Estimation processing on Stand '5300001', Calibration 'Inland North California':
The grid spacing should be greater than 0.

Any idea what this is about?

Hmm. Have to know what equation for crown base is doing. There are probably some cases where negative results from equations get passed along only to error later when used by other equations. In general I check for neg results and error or warn but there could still be some not getting checked. What equation/model are you using for crown base?BTW, checking for negative results on parsed equations assumes I know what the purpose of the equation is for. This is the case for most of them but not all. And if a sub equation used, I don;t check for negatives there.

This sounds like the sub sampling or estimation plots are getting funky x or y limits. Probably due to the neg crown bases you mention below.

After some digging, the crown base heights in my dataset are negative (!). Is this error connected with crown width/canopy cover perhaps?
