No ORGANON Species

Second group of ORGANON errors were lacking DF, WH , GF.  Hit similar error on compile on a few stands which created a ORGANON calibration error.  I fixed that by changing one small RA, or other species, to DF.

Failed growth.

Growing trees.

Simulating year 2010.

Failed to grow stand '14327'.

Failed to set up ORGANON.

No ORGANON major species trees found.

ORGANON regions NWO or SMC, requires at least one tree of species DF, GF or WH.

Looks like this issue is tied to regen (new plant) plots without one of the three species, since none at dbh probably never tested for ORGANON calibration at compile.  Using same technique, adding 1 DF along with 540 RA on new plant plot fixes issue.  I can do this on about 20 cruises, but is there a better way?

Sounds like this stand is a Red Alder plantation? If so, then you should use the Red Alder ORGANON region (RAP).  Just create a copy of the "ORGANON" Calibration, rename it to "Red Alder" and set the Region=RAP in the Growth settings.  Then use this calibration for any Red Alder stands. Rich

  • Wanted to give a quick update on Assisi Cruiser, our upcoming data collector. Our prototype in PowerApps is working OK, but PowerApps has too many restrictions like meant to be online and can only share apps with members of the same computer domain. So now I am also prototyping in Xamarin: the cross platform (iOS, Android & Windows) tool of choice for most serious developers. It's going well and I should have something for others to test soon. Send me a note if you are interested in beta testing! Rich
  • Is is possible to change the BAF in the middle of a cruise?
  • This afternoon we are starting our seasonal inventory cruising program. Radial growth measurement. I would like a 5 year growth measurement. You have a field in Assisi for this, but I don’t see one on the spreadsheet. Just add it before the first segment call?
