Copying Species in Calibrations

Rich, question on creating a new species record in ORGANON or NW Flewelling calibration. There is an “Unknown Softwood” in the master species table, but not in the calibration tables. I can create a new record and select from the master species list, but at that point I think I then need to fill in all the values. Is there a way to just copy say the DF record with all its calibration values to the new record and just change the species? Cruises have a few “OC” (other conifer, “CX” in FPS world) coming through which are mapped to Unknown Softwood. Thanks Bob

Hi Bob, You can make a copy of a species using Copy (ctrl C) & Paste (ctrl V) right in the Calibration Editor. After pasting, you’ll see the species name of the new record is the first species not already in the Calibration. Just change the species name to what you want. You can also change the Code for OC to CX if you want. May make importing FPS data easier. Rich

  • Wanted to give a quick update on Assisi Cruiser, our upcoming data collector. Our prototype in PowerApps is working OK, but PowerApps has too many restrictions like meant to be online and can only share apps with members of the same computer domain. So now I am also prototyping in Xamarin: the cross platform (iOS, Android & Windows) tool of choice for most serious developers. It's going well and I should have something for others to test soon. Send me a note if you are interested in beta testing! Rich
  • Is is possible to change the BAF in the middle of a cruise?
  • This afternoon we are starting our seasonal inventory cruising program. Radial growth measurement. I would like a 5 year growth measurement. You have a field in Assisi for this, but I don’t see one on the spreadsheet. Just add it before the first segment call?
